【Part 3; Hotel】
Urumqi is located 33 degrees east of Beijing. It’s 21:30 in Beijing time, which means the actual geological time is around 19:30. Anyway, the point is it’s already dark.
One of the police officers stopped a taxi and told the driver to go to this hotel. (The actual name is "Aihai Hotel")
I’m going to a 5-star hotel by taxi. Okay, I’ll try to behave like a rich guy.
I arrived at the hotel soon and asked at the reception for a room, but she said it’s full. I guess this time it wasn’t because I’m a foreigner, but it was full. So, I asked her if there’s any other hotel where I could stay, then she showed me the nearest hotel. Again, a 5-star.
As I walked there, I couldn’t help thinking “Can I hide and sleep somewhere on the street?”, but the temperature was nearly zero, I needed a good sleep, and no more police. So, I decided again to stay in a hotel.
I arrived, I entered, and I checked-in. Finally.
That was an amazing room. No need for explanation. Just look at these pictures.

It was 100 USD. Maybe a reasonable price for a 5-star hotel, but too expensive for just 10 hours stay. 10 USD is usually enough for one room in China.
Anyway, this is a good experience for sure.
It wasn’t an option to extend the stay, so I searched a lot about how to take the bus to Almaty. I wanted to leave China on the next day, however, I only found old and unreliable information.
Besides, I couldn’t find any international hostel either.
Nevertheless, I slept very well. Do tomorrow what I can do tomorrow.
