イギリス期末試験の評価方法

この大学に限らず、英国ではA評価を取るのが難しいというのを

この記事で書いてみたのですが、今回さらに以下のような表も見つけたので貼っておきます。英語アレルギーがある人はちょっと目眩に注意ですが、赤字と太字だけバーッと読んでいただければ充分です。

90~100

Exceptional

A creative answer based on an exceptional understanding of knowledge at the forefront of the discipline. Highly critical and persuasive argument based on perceptive analysis, evaluation and the application of information from a range of authoritative sources. 

80~89

Excellent

A mature and imaginative answer based on an excellent understanding of knowledge in the discipline with no significant omissions and/or errors. A critical argument based on analysis, evaluation and the application of information derived from independent study and practical experience.  

70~79

Great

A logical and articulate answer based on a comprehensive understanding of knowledge in the discipline with no significant omissions and/or errors. A strong argument based on robust analysis and the application of information derived from independent study and/or practical experience.  

60~69

Very Good

A well-constructed and comprehensive answer based on a very good understanding of knowledge in the discipline with no significant omissions and/or errors. Some evidence of analysis and the application of information derived from independent study and/or practical experience.  

50~59

Good

A well-constructed answer based on a good understanding of the knowledge in the discipline with few omissions and/or errors. Largely descriptive, but some evidence of information being derived from independent study and/or practical experience. 

40~49

Acceptable

A reasonably well-constructed answer based on a basic understanding of knowledge in the discipline with minor omissions and/or errors. Largely descriptive, with information being mainly derived from the teaching programme

30~39

Unacceptable

A partially constructed answer based on limited or superficial understanding of knowledge in the discipline with some significant omissions and/or errors. Largely descriptive and based on information derived from the teaching programme. 

20~29 A poorly constructed answer based on partial or incomplete understanding of knowledge in the discipline with major omissions and/or errors. Descriptive and based on information derived from the teaching programme. 
10~19 Confused answer based on only a vague understanding of knowledge in the discipline with major omissions/errors. Descriptive and based on information derived from the teaching programme.  
0~9

Incoherent or illogical answer that is mainly wrong or contradictory and demonstrates very poor understanding of knowledge in the discipline. Descriptive with sources of information being unclear.  


要するに40%以上取れたら単位が出るよっていうことです。


この表はあくまで期末試験の審査項目を記述したものであって、課題 "Assignment" の評価はまた少し違いますが、AどころかBを取ることさえ難しいという点はどちらも変わりません。満点とかExceptional (例外)ですからね。存在だけしていて実際には発動しないなんてまるで死刑制度みたいです。

 

とりあえず来週から始まる試験では40点台をがっちり取ろうと思ってますが、はてさてどうなることやら。
